I don't know what I'm doing. I have a lot of problems I need to fix. I don't know how to diagnose things. Somehow we're gonna find a software utopia. We are gods.

About my system

See nixos/niri.nix and nixos/apps.nix to see what software i'm using.

niri: Window Manager

I use the niri scrollable window manager because I really like the scrolling. Nothing should ever be minimised. Everything must have a place. It is the spacial aspect of niri that I like.

I use nautilus file explorer, alongside other gnome background software stuff (polkit? keyring?? xdg-desktop-portal-gnome? gtk stuff???? idk what im doing).

Miscellaneous notes

I aspire to have a really versitile dmenu-like way of interacting with everything (using fuzzel). Launching bookmarks, selecting contacts to message, launching apps, selecting emojis, et cetera. On that note, I would also like to explore a lot of TUI software for calendars and such.

I spent a lot of time figuring out how to use awww and swaybg to have nice wallpapers. I use ffmpeg to make a blurry version of the background selected for awww, which is behind everything.
